Divina Crianza means "Divine Parenting" in English, a concept that reflects our vision of parenting as something magical, transformative, and deeply meaningful. This idea was born four years ago during the pandemic when Leydi decided to specialize in Positive Discipline and later became a motivational consultant. Inspired by the unique connection between parents and children, she found the best word to describe this special bond was "divine." Thus, Divina Crianza was born—a name that embodies our mission to accompany families on this extraordinary journey.

About Me

Leydi is a Business Administrator with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts in Education from the University of the District of Columbia. Her professional journey spans over 10 years of experience in education and childcare. She began her career as a nanny, working with various families, learning from each one, and enriching her perspective on parenting and family dynamics.

Her passion for education later led her to work in several Montessori schools in Washington, D.C., where she deepened her knowledge and practice of this educational philosophy. For the past three years, Leydi served as the director of an educational center specializing in Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches, leading a team dedicated to children’s holistic development and collaboration with their families.

Since 2020, she has been an active member of the Positive Discipline Association, certified as a Positive Discipline Facilitator for Families and Early Childhood Educators, as well as an Encouragement Consultant. Leydi has pioneered the implementation of the Positive Discipline model in Latino communities through renowned organizations such as POH and PAVE in Washington, D.C., strengthening family and educational bonds.

Additionally, she has participated in international conferences on Adlerian Psychology and Positive Discipline, staying up-to-date on the best educational practices. With this solid foundation, her mission is to guide families and educators in creating environments where children can grow fully with respect, love, and autonomy.

Our Process

We use our extensive database of exceptional candidates and actively seek new applicants to match the specific profile your family needs.
Divina Crianza will coordinate a call with one or both parents to dive deeper into the specific requirements of the position. During this conversation, we’ll cover key aspects such as compensation and offered benefits, preferred personality traits, required professional experience, potential concerns or particular conditions, urgency level, general expectations, and the ideal timeline for hiring. This process ensures a clear and mutual understanding, enabling us to select the most suitable candidate for your family’s needs.
Our process includes a thorough initial screening to ensure the candidates you meet are not only qualified but also a great fit for your family.
After reviewing detailed profiles and personal statements from each candidate, Divina Crianza will conduct in-depth interviews with nannies who meet the family’s expectations.
Our top candidate will have a trial period with the family, adjusted to the family’s needs.

We’ve hired the owner several times to babysit, help cover when our regular nanny is sick or on vacation, and even during travel. Whenever the owner is unavailable, she always arranges for one of her employees to step in. We have had Blanca and Kattya multiple times and all three of them have been amazing. What stands out is how passionate the whole team is about childcare and creating a truly enriching environment for kids. They don’t just “watch” children. I’ve witnessed all of her team actively engage with them, provide structure, and help with important developmental milestones. For example, Leydi was such a huge support in helping me sleep train my 8-month-old and later with potty training my 2.5-year-old. Her patience, knowledge, and encouragement made such a difference. My husband and I were very nervous to have a babysitter to watch our 3 boys ages 1,3, and 6 for the weekend, since we had never done that. I Found Leydi and we are so happy we did. She has watched our kids overnight for up to 4 days on multiple occasions. We can honestly say she was very professional and stayed in touch with us via text to let us know that our sons were doing well throughout the day. She was so genuine and a true natural with children. She is responsible, caring, honest, communicative and always on-time, even when we asked her to be here at 330am due to a flight we had. She is also open minded in receiving feedback and guidance on how we would like our kids to be cared for, yet still offering her advice based on her experience. She even wrote out a menu for the days she stayed with our kids and then asked if it was okay or we wanted to change anything.
